Dill Dinkers Franchise Expands with Regional Development Deal for Northern Virginia
April 12, 2024 // FranchiseMarketingSolutions.com // COLUMBIA, MD – Today, Dill Dinkers announced its 13th regional developer who has committed to the development of 15 or more dedicated indoor pickleball clubs throughout Northern Virginia. Spearheaded by local female serial entrepreneur, Vanessa Economos, she plans to develop franchise locations with ample space for six to 12 courts from Fairfax down to Fredericksburg.
Economos anticipates opening her first club in Falls Church, Virginia in 2024.
“I am thrilled to embark on my franchise journey with an emerging brand like Dill Dinkers,” said Economos. “It’s no secret pickleball is taking off and there is a lack of indoor courts in the DMV. After meeting with the executive team, I was impressed by their knowledge and passion for pickleball and their commitment to building a strong brand with many options for pickleball players. Coming from Amazon, I am impressed with the business model and look forward to sharing opportunities for players and business owners to enjoy the sport with a premier pickleball offering as it builds the community in a new and exciting way.”
Motivated by a desire to grant new exercise opportunities and ways for people to meet and come together in Northern Virginia, Economos was looking for a franchise opportunity. Dill Dinkers stood out as something new in the sports and recreation space and was proving to satisfy a real demand for people of all ages and generations, creating an inclusive community. Economos is confident in her ability to serve as a regional developer of Dill Dinkers in Northern Virginia because of her 25-year background in global marketing, CFO and COO of companies in healthcare services, owner of a real estate practice in Maryland, and working with Amazon Logistics where she was one of the first few hundred contractors for last mile delivery in the U.S. She is passionate about fitness and nutrition, is a certified wellness coach, and has a big sports family with three daughters who participate in a variety of sports.
“Vanessa is exactly the type of developer we are looking for”, says Dr. Ben Litalien, Chief Development Officer, “They truly believe in the benefits a indoor pickleball court can offer the community in wellness and an active lifestyle year-round. We are excited to support her as she builds something special for the Northern Virginia region and the community.”
In just a year since its inception in November of 2022 in Columbia, Maryland, Dill Dinkers has locations in Maryland with another location set to open in Manassas, Virginia in May 2024 and since the announcement of its nationwide franchise launch in September 2023, the brand has signed developers in Texas, Washington D.C., North Carolina, Connecticut, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Arizona, Western Maryland, Northern Virginia and Pennsylvania for committed locations.
