Franchise History
The first Kids Incorporated Learning Centers facility opened in Mesa, Arizona, in November, 1988, to serve the working parents of Mesa Lutheran Hospital and the surrounding community. This was an on-site child care facility which operated from 6:00 a.m., until 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The learning center had a cheerful primary setting and was licensed for 75 children. It didn’t take long to fill the available spots and a waiting list soon developed. Jeanie Smith later went on to open five other similar centers. In 2001, they opened a Kids Incorporated Learning Center facility at Southern and Ellsworth, in Mesa, Arizona. This center has been very successful and provide childcare services to parents in the area. In early 2005 they opened the Kids Incorporated Learning Centers facility near BlueJay and Ray Roads, in Higley, Arizona. This facility was almost an instant success as many families had recently moved into the area and they have filled a strong need for childcare in the area.
