Our Brands
The Taco Maker. . .Mex made Fresh!
The Taco Maker franchise is a Mexican Quick Service Restaurant (QSR). This segment of the industry is experiencing an unprecedented growth rate . . . outpacing all other segments of the restaurant industry. We are firmly seated as a leader in the Mexican QSR segment of an international franchise system with outlets in the United States, Latin America, and the Far East.
Jake’s Over the Top – Burgers, Shakes and Fries!
First-time customers usually experienced a great surprise as they try one of our distinctive shakes. Special preparations allow a heaping of ice cream 2 to 3 inches over the top rim of the cup. Fresh fruits, cookies, berries, and candy are added to offer a multitude of flavors from which to choose.
Customers have fun enjoying our great-tasting charbroiled hamburgers, cheese fries, and other wonderfully unique flavors. Our chicken sandwiches with all the trimmings provide a special taste like no other.
Mayan Juice – Tropically Refreshing!
Mayan Juice drinks are a blend of ingredients that suggest jungle and rain forest mystique. Real fruit, including berries, bananas, mango, coconuts, and other tropically refreshing ingredients will titillate your taste buds. Nonfat yogurts, sherbets, purees, and juices all add to the flavor and flair. Customers can select from a variety of health boosters to add to these delicious treats.
The diversity of our multiple-brand outlets makes them the most successful opportunities available. Single-concept outlets are available when restrictive elements exist because of covenants or prior exclusivity on competing products. We have the ability to go into spaces from 400 square feet to 3500 square feet in traditional freestanding units, convenience stores, shopping malls, food courts, airports, and in-line strip centers, all of which have all proven their success.
Site Selection & Approval
Our facilities are designed to reflect specific motifs with state-of-the-art materials and equipment. All of this sets us apart from the competition. The creation of fine foods starts with kitchen and production lines that are clean and organized in such a way as to encourage efficiency and minimize waste.
We will assist you in the site selection process as much as possible. After you have selected your site, you must submit a complete Site Evaluation Report and request approval. Management will then review your information and may travel to look at the site. You will be notified of approval after the physical visit of you site. We will also assist you, if needed, in either the property purchase or lease negotiation process to secure your site.
Training
After your projected opening date has been established you and your operating managers will be scheduled to attend our management training program, which involves 19 days of training at our corporate office and nearby facilities in Ogden, Utah. Prior to that training you will receive a CD containing our operations and training manuals and our initial correspondence course, which is designed to help orient you to some of our terminology as well as to let us know what specific help you may need during the headquarter training. You must complete the entire training program and become certified as a Taco Maker® / Jake’s Over the Top® / Mayan Juice™ operator before you will be allowed to open your outlet.
Pre-Opening
As with most new restaurant openings, a member of our Operations Team will be there to support you prior to and through the initial opening and assist with additional staff training.
Continued Support
We will continue to assist and support you in the areas of purchasing, marketing, business development, and information technologies through direct and individualized training efforts, through regular conference meetings, outlet visits, and in many other ways that have proven to be successful in making The Taco Maker® / Jake’s Over the Top® / Mayan Juice™ one of the best franchise operations in existence today.
